Customers operating across the Adriatic route should be aware that industrial action is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 9th April, affecting ferry operations at both Ancona and Bari ports.
As a result, a number of sailings have been either cancelled or rescheduled, while others are expected to proceed with revised departure and arrival times.
The disruption affects Ro-Ro ferry services, which are a key link for freight movement between Italy and the Balkans. While the full extent of the impact remains under review, operators have already issued adjusted schedules to accommodate the expected port closures and staff shortages on the day.
We advise customers with time-sensitive shipments to:
-
Check revised sailing times in advance of travel
-
Stay in contact with your booking agent for the most up-to-date information
-
Plan for potential delays around the ports of Ancona and Bari
